ENDRA Life Sciences Inc. is developing an enhanced ultrasound technology platform - Thermo Acoustic Enhanced Ultrasound (TAEUS), a technology which characterizes tissue similar to a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). The Company's TAEUS technology uses radio frequency (RF) pulses to stimulate tissues, using a small fraction (less than 1%) of the amount of energy that would be transmitted into the body during an MRI scan. The RF pulses are absorbed by tissue and converted into ultrasound signals. TAEUS is initially focused on the measurement of fat in the liver as a means to assess and monitor steatotic liver disease (SLD), a chronic liver disease spectrum. It is exploring several other clinical applications of TAEUS, including visualization of tissue temperature during energy-based surgical procedures.
